The show was developed by Pinchbottom specifically to debut at Spiegelworld, joining the ranks of house favorites like "Absinthe", "La Vie", and "Desir". But "Pretençión" takes cirque where only Pinchbottom can take it; past the bounds of good taste and into the realm of hilarious self-parody. Be dazzled as burlesque performers are transformed into gorillas, self-hating clowns, impossibly accented ringmasters, incomprehensible lessons in morality, oblique songsmiths, clockwork ballerinas, and spanking machines.
